A wide range of courses
At Burton College we offer courses to suit everyone. Whether you’re leaving school, looking for a part-time course or considering higher education, we deliver courses at the College town-centre site and in local venues including South Derbyshire and Uttoxeter.

A thriving community
One of the largest Sixth Forms in the local area, we have had continued success with A-level students over the past five years. Significant investment has been made in developing a Sixth Form Centre for 16- to 19-year-olds.

Impressive ratings
We celebrated an excellent Ofsted report in 2008 that praised our high achievement rates, quality of teaching and outstanding work with local employers. Not only that, in the 2008 Post 16 Achievement and Attainment League Tables, we were rated in the top 10 per cent of colleges for student achievement and the best performing educational provider in the area for the second year running. In 2007, we achieved an A-level pass rate of 97 per cent with a 100 per cent pass rate in 16 subjects, higher than other local colleges.

Forward thinking
We have two new educational developments: the University Centre, focusing on the delivery of higher education courses, complimented by a business centre designed for new enterprise start-ups; and the Automotive and Engineering Skills Academy.
