Whether you want to continue to play the guitar at university, or would love to learn, enter Leeds City College’s competition to win a Yamaha Pacifica 012 BL-PP Electric guitar
On April 1, 2009, the vision of Leeds City College became a reality as Leeds College of Technology, Leeds Thomas Danby and Park Lane College Leeds and Keighley merged to form what is now one of the largest and most influential colleges in the country.

Leeds City College now has more than 60,000 learners, including approximately 700 higher education students. Whether you’ve just received your A-level results, or need a new career direction with the help of up-skilling or re-training, Leeds City College has something for you. Alongside traditional further and higher education courses, we have programmes available such as 'Bridging the Gap' to help ease you into working at a higher level, from essay writing to time management, particularly useful if you’re returning to education.

What's on offer
Leeds City College offers:

The biggest choice in vocational qualifications such as BTECs, and courses for adults who want to return to learn.
Professional training within industries such as financial services. We also offer a range of apprenticeship opportunities.
31 Higher Education courses including Foundation Degrees (similar to Higher National Diplomas, but with added emphasis on work-based learning).
There are dozens of AS and A-level combinations available at Leeds City College, so students can study the subjects they want and those which suit their future plans. The programmes consist of lectures, tutorials and workshop sessions. A careful check is kept on each student’s progress but they are still given the freedom and the advantages of studying in an adult environment.

Clubs and societies
You can get involved in the Students’ Union, by registering for an NUS Extra Card, getting on the Executive Team, setting up societies or joining in with activities and events. You can also join the College Student Forum which meets regularly to discuss the College's service. You can also get involved in any club or society within the College which includes football, netball, basketball, etc. We welcome new ideas so you could even set up your own!
